Job Summary/Basic Function

Clarion University’s Department of Justice, Law, Technology, and Liberal Arts invites applications for a pool of candidates to fill temporary faculty positions for the 2016-17, 2017-18, and 2018-19 academic years. Clarion University’s innovative criminal justice programs deliver instruction on the ground at the Venango campus located in Oil City, Pennsylvania, at the Clarion campus located in Clarion, Pennsylvania, as well as an online B.S. degree completion program in Criminal Justice Administration. Positions are contingent on the availability of funding.

Required Qualifications

The University seeks to hire generalists in criminology/criminal justice. Preference will be given to those who have completed or are currently working on their PhD in criminology, criminal justice, or administration of justice. A JD alone is not sufficient for these courses. Candidates who have recently completed their masters with years of professional applied experience will also be considered.

For all positions, recent classroom/online teaching experience is preferred.
