Job Summary/Basic Function

Clarion University Small Business Development Center is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Business Consultant. The Business Consultant position is full-time and contingent upon continued grant funding.

Provides in-depth business consultation services to existing and pre-venture business owners including business planning, financing, marketing and other areas of management and technical support to support small business growth. Travel is required.

Requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills for one-on-one consulting and group training.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field and extensive business experience is required; strong organizational and project management skills; ability to work independently; and strong written, oral, and proofreading skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred qualification include MBA or related Master’s degree; work experience in the areas of accounting, finance, or entrepreneurship (owning a small business).

Additional Information

Applicants must complete a successful on campus interview. Prior to employment the successful candidate will be required to obtain and submit current clearances from the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services, Pennsylvania State Police and the FBI.
